Casing is specified as part of the well construction program. A sourcing enquiry should capture the complete pipe designation and delivery scope, with no assumption that grade or connection can be substituted.
Send the casing schedule with outside diameter, weight or wall thickness, required grade, connection and length requirements. State quantity by joints or total length and identify any accessories as separate line items.
Include inspection, marking, traceability and documentation requirements. Any proposed alternative connection or grade requires the buyer's engineering review and explicit acceptance.
